With a heritage that dates back nearly 100 years, the American Cancer Society is a nationwide, community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem. As part of its commitment to health and wellness, PPC has served as an official sponsor of the Society’s local Relay for Life Event, at which approximately 30 PPC employees also served as volunteers.

Swing Fore the Cure

For several years, PPC has been a major sponsor of this regional organization’s golf fundraiser focused on eliminating breast cancer. Thanks to this and its other fundraising events, Swing Fore the Cure has donated over $1 million towards breast cancer research over the past decade. Beneficiaries have included the Nina Hyde Center for Breast Cancer Research at the Lombardi Center at Georgetown University and the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
