PPC has a longstanding commitment to service programs that support environmental stewardship, and for some time we have supported the activities of the Newton Marasco Foundation. In addition to providing this forward-looking organization with the office space, technology, and office supplies it needs to function, the company provides direct financial sponsorship. In addition, each year a dedicated group of PPC employees volunteer to support the Foundation’s golf fundraiser and other events. Our connections with the Foundation go even further; as of spring 2008, several PPC employees are serving on the organization’s executive and advisory boards.
Alice Ferguson Foundation

With a focus on protecting the Potomac River watershed through educational outreach, cleanup activities, and other programs, the Alice Ferguson Foundation has a heritage that dates back more than 50 years. Each year, PPC employees join with thousands of other volunteers to participate in the Potomac River Watershed Cleanup Day, which celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2008.
PPC is proud to have sponsored a community service award for the Foundation, bringing it additional recognition and visibility in the region. We are also in the process of expanding our support of the Foundation’s youth programs, many of which are offered at the Foundation’s headquarters at Hard Bargain Farm in Accokeek, Maryland.
