Laura M. Weeks
Corporate Controller
Laura M. Weeks has over 14 years of experience in corporate financial management and corporate internal information technology applications. At PPC, she is responsible for all of the firm’s finance functions, including financial planning, financial reporting, pricing, accounting, and taxation. In addition, she shares responsibility for many of the company’s professional relationships, including audit, tax, banking, and retirement plan investment and administration.
Prior to joining Project Performance Corporation, Ms. Weeks held the position of Director of Business and Rates Management at AT&T Government Solutions, a $1.4B segment of AT&T Corporation. In this position, she managed the budgeting process for the organization, providing guidance to AT&T management regarding DCAA regulations, as well as developing indirect rate strategies for the business.
Ms. Weeks previously served as AT&T Government Solutions’ Director of Infrastructure Applications, implementing a beta ERP solution that encompassed the accounting, budgeting, business lead tracking, and reporting systems. Earlier in her career, Ms. Weeks served as Director of Business Management at SM&A Corporation, a $125M publicly traded company, overseeing the integration of corporate acquisitions, developing corporate operating budgets, and managing all SEC reporting requirements. Before joining SM&A, Ms. Weeks was a Senior Auditor at Coopers & Lybrand.
Ms. Weeks has extensive experience with project accounting in a Government Contract Cost Accounting Environment, including FAR and DCAAM issues. She manages all aspects of PPC’s audit and regulatory oversight functions, including corporate, DCAA, state and local, insurance, and IRS audits.
Ms. Weeks has developed corporate indirect cost structures and service centers, and has worked with various contract structures typically utilized in a government professional services environment. Ms. Weeks has experience with the requirements of SEC reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley, as well as with several accounting, budgeting, and reporting systems, ranging from home-grown mainframe systems to ERP systems.
