The federal government is increasingly realizing the value of good project management for its Information Technology (IT) projects in order to ensure quality project planning, execution and performance at appropriate cost. Effective oversight is critical to good project management, and an integral part of effective oversight is Independent Validation and Verification (IV&V) of project efforts.
