Charles F. Wedel
Chief Financial Officer
In addition to his responsibilities as CFO, Mr. Wedel serves as Treasurer and Secretary to the Corporation on its Board of Directors. Mr. Wedel has over 20 years of experience in corporate financial management and has been responsible for corporate financial management for core Department of Defense business as well as international and information technology business segments. He is in charge of many of the Company’s professional relationships, including those with organizations responsible for audit, tax, banking, retirement plan investment and administration, insurance, and corporate legal services. Mr. Wedel also oversees and manages the firm’s financial operations and leads the accounting, human resources, corporate administration, and contracts departments.
Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Wedel served as CFO at Vredenburg for 15 years. At the end of his tenure, he helped manage the integration and transition of Vredenburg to American Management Systems. As part of Vredenburg’s Executive Management team, Mr. Wedel facilitated the company’s acquisition program, including its successful acquisitions of Highland Technologies, Karcher Group, and Cambridge Imaging Technologies.
Mr. Wedel has extensive experience with project accounting in a Government Contract Cost Accounting Environment, including FAR and DCAAM issues. He managed all aspects of Vredenberg’s audit and regulatory oversight functions, including corporate audits, DCAA audits, state and local audits, insurance audits, and IRS audits. Mr. Wedel has developed corporate indirect cost structures and service centers as well as computer-based budgeting and projection systems, and has worked with various contract structures typically utilized in a government professional services environment.
Mr. Wedel served as an Officer of Vredenburg beginning in 1988 and on the Vredenburg Board of Directors from1989 until the company was sold in 2003. In his capacity as Secretary and Treasurer, in addition to his role on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors, Mr. Wedel developed extensive experience with corporate governance issues. In previous positions with Vredenburg, Mr. Wedel served as Manager of Accounting and Corporate Controller. Responsibilities included management of the organization’s accounting operations and development and implementation of the company’s first computer-based accounting system.
