Data Center Profiler (DC Pro)
PPC worked with the DOE Industrial Technologies Program (ITP), to develop the Data Center Energy Profiler (DC Pro) is an online software tool designed to help industries worldwide identify how energy is being purchased and consumed by their data center(s) and what you can do to begin saving energy and money now. DC Pro is a good “first step” in identifying excellent opportunities for savings, improving a company’s bottom line, and helping reduce environmental emissions associated with energy production and use. DC Pro quickly “diagnoses” energy use and identifies opportunities for savings. It does this by detailing how energy is used by the data center, describing savings potential, and pointing out some specific actions to realize these savings.

Project Results
• PPC’s support ITP to deploy an online tool to define baseline use of energy data centers and identify key opportunities for efficiency.
• DC Pro provides an overall picture of energy efficiency, break-outs by end use, areas for improvement, and overall energy use reduction potential.
