Benefits at a Glance
Medical and Prescription
At PPC, we offer two high-quality options for health care, provided by CIGNA. Open Access Plus (OAP), a plan that allows employees to go in and out of the OAP network; and Open Access Plus In-Network (OAPIN), a plan that allows employees to choose a provider that is within the OAPIN network. A prescription drug program, including a mail order plan, is also included.
Dental (including orthodontia)
Our CIGNA dental plan provides both in and out-of-network options and offers four tiers of coverage ranging from preventive to major restorative services. Orthodontia coverage is available for covered dependents under the age of 19.
Vision Care
PPC offers a comprehensive vision plan covered through UnitedHealthcare Vision.
Basic Life Insurance
Employees receive basic life of 1x annual salary (up to $100,000) fully paid by PPC through Mutual of Omaha.
Supplemental Life Insurance
Coverage is available under the Mutual of Omaha voluntary life plan. Employees can elect this coverage for themselves for a maximum of 5 x annual salary (up to $500,000). If supplemental life insurance is elected, dependent life insurance is available for spouses (50% of employee benefit, up to $100,000), and children (50% of employee benefit, up to $10,000) as well. Any of this may be subject to medical underwriting. The premium is fully paid by the employee for this election.
Short Term Disability
If an employee is disabled beyond the elimination period, because of a covered injury or sickness, that employee is eligible to receive a weekly benefit of 60% of basic weekly income to a maximum benefit of $2,500 through Mutual of Omaha. This benefit is fully paid by PPC and is non-taxable.
Long Term Disability
If an employee is disabled beyond the elimination period due to a covered injury or sickness, that employee is eligible to receive a monthly benefit equal to 60% of basic monthly income, up to a maximum benefit of $7,500 through Mutual of Omaha. This benefit is fully paid by PPC and is taxable.
Supplemental Long Term Disability
Through PPC’s supplemental Long Term Disability offering wth UNUM, employees can increase long term disability coverage by an additional 15% of income, up to $5,000 per month.
401(k) Plan
PPC offers a 401(k) plan with tax advantages, generous company contributions, and a variety of investment funds. Employees are eligible to participate after three full months of employment.
Flexible Spending Accounts
The Flexible Spending Accounts that PPC offers help employees save money by allowing funds to be set aside with pretax earnings annually on eligible healthcare and dependent care costs. Employees may also set aside funds with pretax earnings monthly on all eligible work related parking and transportation commuter costs. All FSA accounts are administered through HFS.
Vacation, Personal, & Holiday Leave
Employees receive two to four weeks of vacation annually, based on length of service. Additionally, five personal/sick leave days, and seven paid holidays per year are provided.
Employee Assistance Program
PPC’s EAP program, throughMHNet, offers a wide range of resources aimed at helping employees and their dependents in a variety of areas. These include: counseling, crisis intervention, research & referral, training, and financial & legal assistance. This benefit is provided at no cost to employees and dependents.
Benefit Add-Ons
Employees of PPC are eligible to participate in: group banking with TD Bank; membership in Northwest Federal Credit Union; discounted health club membership at Sport & Health Clubs; discounted auto and homeowners insurance with Liberty Mutual; tuition reimbursement; professional society membership reimbursement; cellular phone plan and discount; and a discounted computer purchase program.
* Note: Benefits are available to all regular full-time employees and are available to eligible employees the first of the month following the hire date with the exception of the 401(k) plan that is available three full months after the hire date. PPC reserves the right to modify or terminate the plan at any time.
