Barry L. Reisig

Mr. Reisig, who joined the Board in 2005, is a seasoned corporate executive. Having served as partner for over 20 years with one of the major accounting firms, he is experienced in starting, running, and growing various business areas. He is also proficient in the areas of taxation, compensation and benefits, and general management. 

Since 2003, Mr. Reisig has also been a Board Member for GTSI. Since joining the Board, Mr. Reisig has been an active member of the company’s audit committee, of which he was elected Chairman in 2004.

Mr. Reisig is currently President of System Planning Corporation (SPC) International, where he is charged with identifying new opportunities for SPC among private and public sector clients domestically and abroad. In this role, he has reviewed various acquisition opportunities as well as begun a business in communication consulting. In his previous role as Vice President for SPC, Mr. Reisig was responsible for banking, accounting, tax, staff development, facility, and other corporate administrative functions.

Mr. Reisig joined Arthur Andersen in 1971 upon obtaining his law degree from the University of Virginia. He advanced quickly at Andersen, reaching the rank of Partner in nine years. During his time at Andersen, he was the lead partner for many clients, and served as tax partner and human capital partner for many others. From 1974 to 2002, Mr. Reisig headed the Human Capital Practice in the Mid Atlantic region. He was also a member of the firm-wide Human Capital Leadership Group. 

At Andersen, Mr. Reisig was responsible for working with the IRS, DOL, and PBGC on compensation and benefits related matters for Andersen clients. After being asked to head the Tysons Corner tax practice in 1981, Mr. Reisig grew Andersen’s high technology and small business practice into one of the leading practices in the region. In 1986, Mr. Reisig was asked to join the Advisory Council of Arthur Andersen, a group of 17 partners selected from around the world to help address strategic issues.
