We designed the AEA Group’s Airport Sustainability Framework based on our applied industry experience helping airport operators make a compelling business case for sustainability.
- Strategic Planning: Our experts work with customers during early sustainability planning efforts, helping to define a vision and goals, conduct baseline analyses, and assess potential cost savings. Our technical delivery is in line with industry’s best practices such as the Sustainable Aviation Resource Guide developed by the Sustainable Aviation Guidance Alliance (SAGA) and the Airport Sustainability Disclosure supplement of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Framework.
- Stakeholder Engagement: We then support outreach to local stakeholders and ensure that the program’s scope and goals are in line with local, regional, and state sustainability and climate change action planning efforts.
- Implementation: Our aviation experts, energy engineers, certified sustainability professionals, and environmental project managers help reduce operating and life cycle capital costs, gather high quality input and output data to ensure fact-based progress reporting, implement sustainable standards for airport vendors, and engage with airport staff to adopt high impact behavior change practices.
